The Lüneburg Heath does not only impress with its natural beauty. Within a short distance from our hotel you will find activities for young and old like the Heide-Park Soltau or the wildlife park in Nindorf with the tree top walk Heide Himmel.
The heath towns of Bispingen and Schneverdingen invite you to visit, as well as the salt and hanseatic city of Lüneburg and the half-timbered town of Celle.
Wilseder Berg, Totengrund and Steingrund – three of many nature experiences
The Lueneburg Heath nature reserve starts directly in front of your hotel door. A few kilometres away you will find a whole series of natural beauties such as the highest elevation of the North German Geest, the Wilseder Berg, at 169.2 meters. Close to it, you can also see the Totengrund and the Steingrund, which you should definitely explore.
You should not miss the heath village Wilsede: Thatched half-timbered houses under gnarled oaks and beeches, old stone walls and cobblestone streets – it seems as if time has stood still here. Unique and unforgettable. You can find more information under: heath village Wilsede.

Heidekastell Iserhatsche Bispingen
On the outskirts of Bispingen you will find the Heidekastell ISERHATSCHE with its hunting villa, the castle hill Montagnetto and the philosophical baroque iron park on a 23 hectare area. Guided tour, open all year round.
Ralf Schumacher Kartcenter Bispingen
One of the most modern kart tracks in Europe. Here you will find an outdoor (1,100 m) and an indoor kart track (600 m). For bad weather: the 6-lane bowling alley “Bowl’n Motion”.
Heidjers Wohl Schneverdingen
The adventure indoor swimming pool with sauna area in Schneverdingen invites you to relax and recharge your batteries. Family fun is not neglected either.
Greifvogelgehege (Bird of prey enclosure) Bispingen
See birds of prey and owls at close range from May 1 to October 31 during guided tours of Frigga Steinmann-Laage’s bird of prey enclosure. In the middle of the woods of the “Raubkammerheide” the animals live in an enclosure in almost natural habitat. The guided tours, during which Mrs. Steinmann-Laage introduces her “subtenants”, have a special charm due to the personal relationship between falconer and birds.
Wildlife park Nindorf and tree top walk “HeideHimmel”
Be amazed and relax. On the extensive grounds of the game park, you can easily spend a wonderful day with your family. More than 1,000 animals, a birds of prey show, the wolf enclosures and the tiger lecture, playgrounds, petting zoo, picnic areas, restaurant and much more invite you to stay.
Also visit the tree top walk “HeideHimmel” which is open all year round.
Weltvogelpark Walsrode
In the largest and most beautiful bird park in the world, you can make friends with over 4,500 birds from all continents, which live here in the wild, in free-flight houses or large aviaries.
The bird park is also an attraction for garden lovers. 5,000 rhododendrons and azaleas, over 15,000 roses and the blooming heath in autumn give a walk through the park a special charm.
Heide-Park Soltau
Northern Germany’s largest amusement and family park offers fun for the whole family with attractions for young and old like Peppa Pig Land, Ghostbusters 5D and the Colossos and Krake roller coasters.
Soltau Therme
The saltwater adventure pool near the Böhmewald forest promises health, fun and joie de vivre. With a saltwater paradise, sauna land, swimming pool, indoor pool and spa, the Soltau Therme offers something for everyone. Open all year round.
Berg & Tal Abenteuer Resort Bispingen
In Europe’s most modern indoor ski resort you can go skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing – in any weather, 365 days a year. Now you don’t have to wait for your next winter vacation in the mountains, nothing stands in the way of your first skiing course either.

Bispingen
The vacation community of Bispingen is in the centre of the Lueneburg Heath nature park. Here you can ideally combine an adventure vacation with a heath vacation. There is hardly any other region in the Lueneburg Heath where you will find so many attractions close together.
Lüneburg
The old salt and Hanseatic city of Lüneburg, which gave its name to an entire landscape, was one of the richest cities in northern Germany. In the old town you can still find the most important gable forms of all style epochs right next to each other. The Lüneburg town hall on the market square is unique in Germany in its size and beauty. The “Alte Kran (old crane)”, Lüneburg’s landmark, is as much a part of the townscape as the towers of the three large churches: Nikolaikirche, Johanniskirche and Michaeliskirche.
Celle
Discover the romantic town on the southern edge of the Lüneburg Heath with its picturesque half-timbered buildings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, the ducal palace, the town church and the historic town hall on a tour through the pedestrian zone of the old town. The museum of ethnology, the Bomann Museum, provides an overview of the state and city history.
