Landhaus Haverbeckhof – Treat yourself to some downtime in nature!
The traditional Landhaus Haverbeckhof is located in the idyllic heathland village of Niederhaverbeck in the centre of the Lueneburg Heath nature reserve and invites you to a holiday rich in nature!
Our rooms are located in four houses, some of which have thatched roofs, and are equipped with shower, WC, TV and, for the most part, telephone. View location map
The main house
Our main house is the heart of the Haverbeckhof
Here you will find the reception, the Restaurant “Harmshof”, the “Toepferzimmer” and the “Heidekrug”, where we serve breakfast.
The reception is at your disposal for any questions you may have.
In addition, five double rooms in fresh heather colours on the first floor of the house look forward to your visit.
The main house was rebuilt in 1957, after the original building of the Heidekrug was destroyed by a fire.

The “Hans-Pforte-Haus”
Opposite the main house on the other side of the road is the “Hans-Pforte-Haus”, with seven double rooms, one single room and one family room. The family room is divided into two rooms with two beds each. All rooms have a shower/WC and are equipped with a hairdryer.
Three rooms are on the ground floor of the house, so they are accessible without any steps. Their bathrooms all have walk-in showers.
The thatched building is surrounded by tall oaks and beech trees. Start your exploration of the nature reserve from here, as its border runs right behind the house. You can park your car in the house’s own small car park.
The exhibition “Bienenwelten” (“World of Bees”) is housed in the same building. In the 1980s, the man who gave the house its name, Hans Pforte, stipulated in his will that his estate should be used by the VNP for environmental education. This was made reality with several information houses in the nature reserve. Admission to the “Bienenwelten” is free!

The “Schönichen-Haus”
The cosy “Schönichen-Haus” is located a little apart from the hotel grounds. Its three double rooms and one single room offer a view of nature. Forest and meadow orchards surround the thatched cottage.
The house is ideal for small groups or families, as the lobby can also be used as a common room. Here you will find a kettle for tea time, too.
A staircase branches off from the hotel car park and takes you directly to the cottage. Thanks to the surrounding greenery, you won’t hear any car traffic.
The cottage is affectionately called the “university”, a reminder of its former use. In the 1950s, it housed scientists who did research work in the nature reserve.
Walther Schoenichen, who gave the house its name, was a biologist and one of the early German conservationists. In 1922, Schoenichen took over the management of the State Agency for the Preservation of Natural Monuments in Prussia, which was founded in 1906.
In order for our guests to enjoy nature and tranquillity, there is no Wi-Fi access in this guest house.

The “Eichenhof”
Located below the main house, there are four double rooms and three single rooms in our still unrenovated “Eichenhof”.
Idyllically surrounded by oaks and beeches and with direct access to nature, this house is ideal for families with children and/or dogs.
The rooms are at ground level (except for the showers) and divided by three house entrances. Due to the quiet location, you will find a cosy retreat here.
The car park is directly in front of the door.

The Landhaus Haverbeckhof with its four guest houses and the Wintergarten, which is used for events, is idyllically situated in the centre of the heath village of Niederhaverbeck.
For our guests there is a large, free car park next to the main house. There is also a car park for tour buses.
Arrival and departure
Guaranteed check-in between 15:00 and 18:00 hrs. If you arrive later, please inform us in advance.
Check-out is possible until 11:00 hrs.
Wi-Fi
Our unique location is in the countryside. Absolute tranquillity and relaxation await you. Therefore, please do not expect perfect mobile phone or Wi-Fi reception in the centre of the nature reserve.
For a quiet and relaxing stay, we recommend our guest house “Schönichen-Haus” without Wi-Fi access. Wi-Fi is available in all our other buildings.
Bicycles for hire
From May to October we offer bicycles for rent from Zweiradsport Meine Fahrrad from Bispingen. There is a charge of 15 € per bike and day. Please ask at reception for availability.
Sauna
Our guests are welcome to use the sauna of our sister hotel Hof Tütsberg free of charge.
